Christmas, well this Christmas coming up. My girl is hinting around about buying me this expensive North Face jacket, when I already got her this 50 buck ring she picked out...I let her buy me something more expensive, I'll look like an asshole.

haha just messin...just depends on what type of girl she is...if she's a girly girl, just do some dumb shit that she'll like, like a girl movie and take her to her favorite place to eat...if she has a good sense of humor, put the ring in a small box, then put that box in a slightly bigger box filled with newspapers or somethin to fill it up...then put that in an even bigger box, you get the idea...she'll think it's a huge gift, but then she'll have fun opening it up and if she has a good sense of humor she'll appreciate the joke

I got a lot of miles out of doing the corny stuff in addition to gifts...take her somewhere important to her when it comes to your relationship (first place you met, ate, etc.)...umm you could write a long letter if you're good with words

if you don't wanna pony up the money to get an expensive gift, you more than likely gotta do some girly stuff to make her forget about it...unless she's a nympho...then you can give yourself a gift too

She's buying you the jacket? What's the price diff of the 2 gifts? If it's not too much and if you've got the money maybe you could also buy her a nice bottle of perfume. Or some earrings or a necklace to match the ring. If you ain't got the dough just tell her the truth and hope for the best.

The North Face Men's Jackets & Vests

As you can see, they range from $80 to $400, the thing is I don't know which one she'd be getting...it won't be the cheapest or the most expensive, probably the 120-150 ones. The ring she wants, is nothing expensive, I said 50 but I went and looked at it again...it's 68 and not the 48 like I thought...still nothing big, she just loved it. I was planning on getting her the ring and let her get me a DVD and a UNC or Cowboys shirt or something like that. Then she tells me, she's making a trip to the mall to get me one of those jackets. It's not really spending the money, it's just I have no idea what to get her and I'd have to or I'm gonna feel like shit lol. Thinking about just telling her I really like the $80 jackets, then hopefully she'll get one of those.

And if I do talk her into that, I'll probably have to end up doing the girl movie thing to add to it...been holding off watching that "Notebook" movie for something like this.

Hell, just ask her what price range she's looking to spend. Tell her the truth that you didn't want to be grossly overspent, and vice versa, and you just want to make sure y'all spend as evenly as possible. Tell her you're just trying to make sure nobody's feelings are hurt. Most chicks dig a guy concerned about feelings. So I'm told and can gauge from my gal anyway.

dude, there are ways around spending money.

gcdevil has the right idea, do something sentimental. chicks love it. if she spends more money than you, you have to counter with heavy artillery.

set up a nice night, cook her dinner and have it candle lit.

bam, then you get whatever you want. anal sex, video taping it, whatever.
